past majestic gardens brides

when you went in the finalize your menu and everything did you have a tasting too? or do they not do that?

I didn't book with MG (and i'm still upset over that) because the rep 'tried' to work with me on the price... thinking that we were total idiots and couldn't do math (don't get me started) but when we ALMOST booked we were going to put a deposit down and have a tasting on the spot.. my father talked us out of booking there, because they were going to book us for a sunday night, paying MORE then what we wanted, meanwhile the hall we booked at was LESS for a saturday night with more food... so we didn't do a tasting or anything.

I loved MG...

but I'd contact them (who's your rep?) and ask when you can do a tasting.

Do it before you finalize the menu.. tell them you want to try EVERYTHING and then chose your menu from that.

Awww I'm sorry to hear that. All in all it probably worked out the best for you. I sooo wish I could have a Saturday night wedding. We had to do the Sunday or we couldn't afford it either. I've tasted a lot at the showcases but not the entrees. My mom seems to remember them saying we'll tasted the food when we pick the menu but I feel like I remember them saying no. Oh well, I'll find out

i demanded that we try the food if we were putting a deposit down. with Verdi's we tasted the food then went into the office and handed over our deposit.
I know MG told us that if we tasted the food and didn't like it we'd get our money back. I know one rep (the manager) and I didn't get along at all.. I dealt with Dorothy and she 'tried' to work with us... but we just couldn't do it.
