I've heard both good and bad reviews about the alterations at village bridal. I bought my gown there but I don't know if I should do my alterations through them or bring it somewhere else? Anybody use them for their gown?

I did and i had no problems... all my bms ordered their dresses there and they had no problems either... I wouldnt go any where else...

people will always post the bad and never the good
I got my dress there also...the seamstress called me today and was so amazingly helpful. I was trying to decide what color veil to order, she seriously left me a 5 minute voicemail explaining what to do about the color.
I obviously have no experience with alteration results. But I have heard both good and bad
Thankfulllly my dress only needs to be hemmed and a one shoulder strap to be removed.

So far my alterations have been okay. I haven't had much done to my dress though. I think their seamstress is a little rude. My bridesmaids start their alterations there next week so I can let you know about their experiences too.

Thanks for all the responses girls. I still don't know what to do. My dress needs a lot of work. Its at least 2 sizes too big and I'm adding straps or cap sleeves to it (That probably need to be custom made) My dress has a lot of beading to it and the bottom is scalloped so it would have to be hemmed from the waist up not just cut at the bottom. Ughhh what to do, what to do... My other choice for alterations was Phyillis from bridal elegance..anybody know anything about her?

I spoke to MILLIE - she is a vendor on here thats a seamstress! She said she adds sleeves to dresses and was very sweet on the phone... She lives in Floral Park I believe.... definately try her out - Its under Alterations in the vendor section, Alterations by Millie
