Past week Checks

Most arent wedding related but I figured id share...

NWR:
Our boiler in our new house has been broken--its FINALLY fixed after about a week and a half in the coldest weather EVER!

we FINALLY found an electrician to do some work we wanted done :) and its finished :)

We planned our vacation to hunter mountain for presidents day weekend (me and fh for some time away fri night-mon day)!

WR:
I emailed 3 hotels about room blocks for the wedding!!

I TRIED looking up colors..i dont understand how to make those color palletes, i tried all the sites you ladies told me..what am i doing wrong! I just want a site that I can experiment with diff colors and find combos that I like! Thanks in advanced for the help!

I decided I wanted to see showcases for Variety, Big Hits, Bravura (i already saw Paties Alive and like them)!! :) Anyone know when these other djs are having showcases?

With regard to the DJs. If you look on their website they normally list when the have a showcase coming up. I know Variety has a few coming up and they are on the website.

does this include a shuttle, breakfast, anything?

Im hoping for shuttle, breakfast, and a bar area. but who knows if ill get that.

It includes the shuttle and breakfast. The bar in the hotel is going to be closed by the time that the wedding is over but I have arranged for the shuttle to bring whoever wants to go to a locate bar and then bring back to the Foxhollow.

That was the only hotel that included the shuttle that I looked at. We were going to get the shuttle regardless so that saved us a few hundred dollars.

Carly- call Bravura and ask when their next showcase is. They do a personal one for just people who are interested and people who are booking. It was GREAT. They had one in January, so there might be another one coming up soon.

The rate was $169 a night. The breakfast is a full hot buffet. They included the shuttle to the bar at no extra cost. We had to guarantee 60% of the rooms we block. For example, we blocked 15 rooms so we have to have at least 8 of the rooms booked. We are going to try to get a better idea after the STDs go out and increase the block if we need.

We also have our suite included at no extra cost.
