The weather is supposed to be really crappy this weekend, which totally *****. But we are having two other couples over on Sunday and I had planned on grilling. I still think I might - thinking ginger sesame chicken and london broil. I want to make a pasta salad with it, I bought tri-color farfalle - what should I put in it?
TIA

Re: Pasta Salad Recipes
I use the tri-color Rotini, and add cut up carrots, cauliflower, broccoli, diced black olives, and add creamy Italian for the dressing, I usually let it set overnight, and then right before serving add a little more dressing. It's great. Sometimes if I'm feeling adventurous I will add cut up peppers, and if just DH are eating it I will cut up a chicken breast. Enjoy!

Re: Pasta Salad Recipes
I use rotini pasta -- tricolor works... and usually add black and green olives, chunks of mozzerella... broccolli... and anything else you want... and then use a bottle of good seasons italian dressing... it also has to sit over night... it is super yummy!!

Re: Pasta Salad Recipes
Greek Pasta Salad
This pasta salad was a real favorite this last summer, especially with grilled lamb kebabs and other Greek style dishes. It also makes a great entree salad with a little grilled chicken added.
12 ounces spiral pasta, cooked 1 diced green bell pepper 1 diced red bell pepper 1 peeled, seeded, and diced tomato 1 cup sliced scallions 1/2 pound crumbled feta cheese 1/2 cup olive oil 3 tablespoons lemon juice 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar 1 teaspoon dried oregano 1 teaspoon dried dill Salt Pepper
Toss together the pasta, peppers, tomato, scallions, feta, and olives. Whisk together the remaining ingredients and pour it over the salad. Serve immediately or refrigerate for up to 24 hours before serving.
Makes 8 servings.

I make this salad but use cheese tortellini instead of the rotini and it is so good, you can also mix in pesto sauce for a nice kick
