Pastina is getting fixed...am I unreasonable?

She's going to a new vet for the first time. They're participating in the Friends of Animals Program.

They wanted me to just drop her off and leave. I instisted on meeting a vet. There are 2 vets, married to each other. One will be there in the morning, but her husband will be doing the surgery later that day.

I'm going to meet the wife vet. I could tell they thought I was nuts- just because I wanted to meet a vet before anyone does the surgery.

I just don't feel right about leaving her there without even meeting someone.

And, I am so sick to my stomach with worry about this!!!

Absolutely not. Research your vet and make sure they have a tech in the room during the procedure. Make sure you're comfortable with the vet before leaving your baby with them.

After what happened to Sam a few weeks ago, I really believe people should look into their vets.

Our vet INSISTS that we stay for the pre-op exam before any procedure...not just the spaying/neutering.

I would not feel comfortable just dropping the dog & not talking to the vet...jmho
