Re: Patken

I know a lot of people who used them and they are very good. My friend just got her proofs back and they only gave her like 200 proofs, plus they are more on the traditional side of photography which is not what I am into, but they do do good work and their prices are very comparable to any other well known photog

Re: Patken

I got my photo/video for less than $5K

My contract promises me at least 500 proofs but they will prob. give me more - that number would be higher if i were going somewhere btw the church and the hall OR if i were getting married in the summer ( i told them i refuse to make my BP freeze for pics so barely any outdoor pics will be taken)

it is so funny that the previous poster said they are too traditional - bc i was worried they werent traditional enough for my style and when i spoke to them i let them know that i wanted my pictures to be a little more traditional than those i have seen. . . not all of them but i want a good mix.

i know a lot of girls get an extra photog to cover the photojournalistic shots - but that wasnt in our budget.

Good Luck!

Maybe it was my friends photographer because I went through her proofs and didn't see any photojournalistic prints, maybe she didn't want any. And maybe she got less proofs because her wedding was in November and they didnt go anywhere for pics either.

Re: Patken

i think they can do both depending on what you decide when you meet with your photographer. the pictures and albums i've seen have been very nice, regardless if they were traditional or photojournalistic. the framing was well done and they did a good job capturing the moment. i too am into candids and photojournalistic pics and hope that comes across in my wedding pics. they've also told me that they tend to get the posed pics over with early so they can spend more time taking impromptu pics.
