PATKEN BRIDES...

For those of you who will be using Patken (especially Doug) as your Photographer...

One of my best friends used Doug for her August wedding of last year. She just got around to putting together her album and it's now completed. My jaw dropped when she showed me! It is by far the most beautiful album I have ever seen. Her pictures were amazing! Doug really shot some beautiful pictures. I was impressed with the layout of the album. He was able to put all different sized pictures on a page, and even had a way of putting the pictures together to make it look sort of like a collage...unbelieveable. Also, He made their thank you card out of a black & white picture...people are still talking about it. Even the vendors that she sent it to raved about it...You can see at Adrienne's in Islip or Bayshore Bridal Suite.

Just wanted to let you know how impressed I was!

When we saw Patkens work, our jaws almost dropped too! Thats why we booked them.
Yes they put pictures on a page like I have never seen before and they do your Thank you's and anything else for that matter however you want.
I looked at many photographers before I booked Patken and my opion was Patken was SO different, and thats what we wanted DIFFERENT! I do not want the same boring wedding pictures you see time after time.

the included ones are white cards with photo inserts. You can 'upgrade' to cards where the picture is actually the front of the card (not an insert, but a card made from the picture)

They're really nice, but they're about $3-4/each. Since I needed about 150, I didn't want to spend the extra money (even though I really liked them).

We stuck with the included ones and have been receiving compliments.

I went to go see Patken also, and was impressed with their work. I booked with someone else however.

I hate to say it, but they are not that different with the albums. At least 3 other photographers I went to had the collage page, the landscape photo page, and the TY cards that were black and white or the photo was the actual card. Yes, Patken does do different size photos on a page, but that's if you get the pages with the borders and not flush photos. And I've also seen different size photos on pages from other photographers too.
