WE took our engagement pics in August.. I still need to call them to find out who our photographer will be... they said we can then set up a date/time to meet the photographer.. My question is... should we meet with the photographer as soon as possible or wait until a month before the wedding (when we pay our 2nd installment). I was thinking to call and find out who it is, and then schedule to meet with them a month before that way things will be a little fresher in our minds - since the wedding will only be a month later??? I have no clue..any advice is greatly appreciated..what did you guys do /or what are you going to do?? TIA!!!

I took my e-pics in September and they assigned me a photographer a few weeks later. I went down right away to meet with him since I did not see any reviews with his name on them. I met with Jared and I feel more comfortable now since he was soo nice and helpful with my questions.

meet with photog right away - you can ask to see his/her work and just see if your okay with them. Try to have a sense of what pics you want done that day and say you want to meet again one month before the wedding.

I recommend you meet with your photographer right away......I did. And it was the best thing I did b/c he was able to answer all of my question and gave me a peace of mind for my BIG day!

i would meet right away to get a feel for them and again if you feel you want to go over must take pics and what not a month before

I just called and they haven't assigned a photographer to us yet... we took our e-pics at the end of August.. its almost November. And the wedding is in March...Now I'm a little nervous.. they told me to call back Tuesday because the owner is out until then.... nerves..nerves...nerves...

I knew who my photog was when I put down my deposit I asked and then i told them I had liked Steve's work and they checked that his date was open. Anyway I would call and meet right away. This way if you have ANY problems/gripes things you don't like about his/her work you can work something out.

They will call you back next week if not then you call them too - they did that with me. I think its because when you don't book with a specific photog they kinda wait till the wedding gets closure to see what people's schedules are like.

wow thats a long time for them not to assign one. im going in 15 minutes to take my epics with them. the lady stressed i should tak ethem asap so they can set me up with a photog. they better not take that long...we're also doing an offsite shoot with the chosen photog so i hope i get that sooner than 2 months, thats crazy

def meet with ur photographer asap...we really did not like the person who took our engagement photos at patken..my fiancee was miserable! We let them know and said we wanted to meet our selected photographer early and ended up really liking him! phewwwwww..it made me feel a lot better!

When I booked with them, I already knew who my photographer was going to be. I stressed that I am an anal person and I wanted piece of mind from the beginning so that I wasn't wondering and worrying about having bad pictures lol... Jessie is my photographer and she will be doing my epics soon... so hopefully I'll fall in love with the pic lol I really loved the work she did in her albums... I'm hoping that mine will turn out that way too
If I were you, I'd def. find out who your photographer is ASAP!!! You dont want to be guessing and wondering either.

When they took our engagement pics he was asking us which poses we felt comfortable with, which we didnt...and some other questions to get a feel for our style and to figure out which photog. to pair us up with... I'm just getting nervous because the wedding is only 4 1/2 months away..and its been 2 months since our e-pics.... and still noone assigned..im hoping its not because they over booked our day??? I guess I will find out on Tues when I talk to the owner...ugh!!!!

They called me last week to tell me Nick (i think) is our photographer. Has anyone been assigned him?
I deleted the message by accident, but I think that was the name they gave me.
You should meet with them soon though so you can see how they take pics. They should have someone assigned though.
