Patken seems to be very popular?????

I am trying to decide what to do about my photography and video. Need your input.

very popular on here... the favorites are steve and vinny... and doug the owner(but hes an extra 1500 or something)..
the photo is whats most popular, and they are willing to work with you on prices...
I liked there video, although there are other video places that alot of girls pick(wildrose & bellarino)...

I agree..I think all of their photographers are talented. I am not using the most popular photgraphers, but I still love his work and I am happy.
For video, there was no questions, when I met with Wild Rose, I loved them

I was about to book with Wild Rose when I was new to LIWEDDINGS.I was just waiting to get to Long Island to meet with them..then I read on here from so many people how great they were..I booked with them immediately. I finally made it to their house and saw some of their work..its great! They are wonderful people! For photographers..that wsa very hard..it wsa hard to go off of what people say because everybodys tastes are different..but I kep heraing about patken...I had planned to meet with them..then jenbaby posted some of her pics and they were really great..so I made the appt and when I got there..I booked them taht day..they take great pictures and you tell them what you want and they give you a price..they will work with you on whatever you want..I got Steve..they told me we were getting him in time because his prices are about to be raised..so if you are interested..go in there soon. They will work with you..I want less posing pictures than what I saw in his album and tehy said he can do anything. he takes great pictures..when I saw jenbabys picturesI assumed that they were out of my price range because they looked beautiful..but was very happily mistaken..their prices were the best around for what you get...I also LOVED Perceptions photographey..he has BEAUTIFUL work.but it is ALL photojournalism..which I like..but I definately need alittle more..Patken has it all. That was what made my final decision.

the more FH and i talk about it, the more we lean towards Patken. FIrst they seemed really expensive, but they INCLUDE the B&W photojournalism stuff... and a third parent album... plus i really like their style.
I think we may go with them!

We saw 2 photographers before Patken and FI was really impressed with one photographer and I had my heart set on Patken evern before going to them.

When we got to Patken FI had a great time talking to Doug and Vinny. He wouldnt shut up. I wanted to talk pictures and FI and Doug are talking weddings, locations, friends, family, etc...

After 2 hours of looking at photo's, laughing, and having a good time we booked right on the spot.

Patken threw in extra's that the other 2 werent doing for us. We wanted something that another person offered and Patken would charge us for, but they threw it in for FREE.

I was so excited when we left them the deposit. They are great people and love what they do. We have Steve and I couldnt be happier.

I just didn't like who we met with... she didn't offer much info... expected us to do all the talking. I don't like that... i don't know how to do this, they do!! (thats the only thing that put me off)

I'm having the same problem. There were only two studios that I felt the photographer's personality led the conversation, but I haven't booked yet. One of them just called me yesterday I guess to F/U and again I felt very comfortable. There is a huge price difference between this one and the other one I saw. I haven't gotten any feedback on them from anyone here. PLEASE HELP!!!

chippa--- 2 hours?? and I know another girl said she toolk 3 hours...Before we walked in I told my fiance 'itll only be a 1/2 hour cause we had other stuff to do'... we were in there a little over a hour(because I was barganing things into the contract.. but I was sooo happy to be booking... I could only Imagine mike face if we took longer..

I used Patken and was more than pleased. I didnt use their video, because I found someone else I really liked, and LOVE my video

Butterfly 2 hours with Patken and I am not kidding 4 hours with Wild Rose.

The only reason we were with wild rose for 4 hours is because they ride and my FI and I ride so we were talking motorcyles, runs, events, looking at pictures, etc....
