Reasonable is all relative. They have been great so far. I actually only saw two photographers...Patken and Marco. I called Duet but they were already booked for my day. We went to Patken first and met with Nick who is going to be our photographer. He was great. He showed us albums that he personally shot and helped us pick out pictures that we wanted. He gave us a quote and we went to Marco. While Marco's work is great, his photography style was too traditional for us. Marco's pricing was not too far off from Patkens. We could have kept shopping around but we like Nick so much I called the next day, left a deposit over the phone and made an appointment to sign the contract.

I would say their prices are average...not spectacular but not ridiculous either. We booked them on the spot. I felt very comfortable and very confident in them. Their work speaks for itself. Def. go check them out.

We liked them so much that after we met with them I cancelled all of our appointments with other photographers. Their pricing is kind of 'middle of the road'. We needed a lot of stuff (four parent albums) and the price they gave us was pretty reasonable. FM me is you need more details or have any questions.

Webooked Patken as well. More specifically, our photographer is Kevin. Kevin was great, helped us decide which package was right for us. Really sat down with us and discussed our options. We had only met with one other photographer before him, but after our meeting I was sold. Booked, signed the contract, and left a deposit that day.

I can't remember the name of the person we are meeting...maybe Lisa....I just remember that it's a woman.

Thanks for all the helpful feedback!

Although we ultimately did not go with Patken, the were in close second running. We also met with Lisa, and I remember that she was so helpful and not the least bit pushy. I find their work to be the most contemporary and cutting edge, which I prefer. Good luck!!

Re: Patken Photography

Here's my advice. Know exactly what you want and what your budget is. Although they say they don't have any packages, they will give you things and say 'well, that's what's included' I went with Patken, but I wish I did a better job on the negoigiating ( i know i spelled that incorrectly). But maybe I wanted too much for my little old budget. ANyways, really decide how many pictures you want in your album, what portraits you want, and what you want in your parents album (if you even want one). Then figure out your budget. Once you know your budget I will say stick with that. You might not get everything you want, but at least you came close. Oh, I went with another vendor for videography. Patken videos are nice, but I was able to find someone who can do what I wanted (come to the brides house, fully edited tapes, 3 DvD) for less than what Patken would charge. FM if you want the info. With Patken you can always decide if you want the video later so don't stress about that.
I must say, that I'm happy I chose Patken. I've seen some brides on here proofs and ALBUMS and they all looked beautiful.

Re: Patken Photography

They are average in price but AMAZINGLY worth the $$. Meet with Doug - he runs the business and also is the head photographer (trains everyone.) He does seminars all over the country and is amazingly talented. He is straight forward and not pushy- he is so willing to work with the brides. I would never stand behind a recommendation the way I stand behind Patken. I plan on using Patken specifically Doug for anytime I want major photography done for important times in life.

Well, I graduated with Doug he was actually in my photography class. I haven't looked at any photographers yet but he is definitely going to be my first to look at.
