I made an appointment with Patken tomorrow and I was wondering if anyone knows anyone who has used them or heard anything good, or bad about them, also I was wondering if anyone knew about how much I am looking at. Also any suggestions on a specific photographer if I go with them?

I went to Patken last week and their pictures are beautiful, but the person I met with was not very helpful and seemed to assume I knew everything about wedding pictures and did not provide sample packages, rather had me point to an album I liked and priced it from there, never informed me of what else they offer.
I heard their videos turn out great but the sample they show is not impressive...a friend of mine did use them and loves her video & pictures.
I didn't like the fact that you do not know who your photographer is until after you book, like your 2nd meeting or something you find out. Thats one of the biggest reasons I didn't go with them....
They wouldn't let me request a specific photographer at all....
Again, their pictures are beautiful so there is definetly no problem their, but their lack of customer service and they way they treated my day as though it wasn't special, just another sale, turned me off....

i'm booked with patken and my photographer is nick. i heard a couple of ladies trying to request a photographer, but they were told they couldn't. i'm not sure if that's still true. just go and ask lots of questions, especially if it's the first photography appointment you're going to. the video they show you is kinda sucky, so we went a second time requesting an actual video they did of a wedding and it was much better. do a search on here for patken, you'll find lots of info about them. they're a pretty popular vendor.

I am using patken...
You may request a photographer....If you know someone who used them....The request are put in...But also what they do is match you up with someone who works well with yours and your FH personalities....And the way you take pictures...
Each photographer is trained by Doug- So you truthfully can;t go wrong with anyone...

My friend just used them in April and her proofs came out great. She was really happy with them.

I booked with them and so far i am satisfied with their services and quality. I have my epics in the album. I felt they were affordable to the other photogs i compaired them too with simular quality.

i can only tell you that their videos come out beautiful!!!!!!! i used thomaspaul for photography - he's amazing (and u know who ur getting for ur photographer!) if u wanna take a look here's a link to my review....there's a TON of pics along with a review on both tom for photos & patken for video...but good luck with patken if u decide to book! I booked with Patken and I am very happy with package and price. I was able to pick my photographer and I was really happy to hear that if I didn't like how my e-pics came out I could request a change BUT I have Jessie I love her and her photos. Check my album for pics!!!!! FM me if you need details and good luck!!!! I am paying a little more than most because I personally wanted a digital album for me and one for each of our parents. You do not have to do that however and the price is much much different.

FBIL just used them for their wedding in Jan. and there pics came out great, only thing they didnt like was there e-pics. there pricing was pretty close in range to everyone else, they really weren't any more or less to all the ones we priced out versues them. HTH

I'm using Patken as well and so far have had a great experience. My photgrapher is Nick. I was able to pick mine, but the one I originally picked, Steve, will be out of town the weekend of my wedding. So he actually suggested Nick. They've been very helpful and I visited tons of photgraphers before I booked them and I thought they had the best package for the best price.
