Patken photography- AWESOME

I got my proofs and they are EXCELLENT! Actually, my parents picked them up for me (because I'm in VA) and my dad scanned and e-mailed me a bunch of them. I'll try to post soon. Steve did a great job!
The poses are sexy and a lot of fun!

Not fair....I wanted Steve so bad and he was booked so they gave me Nick. Know anything about him? I know hes doing Steve wedding so he has to be good but all I hear about is Steve steve steve think Ill get my $ worth with Nick??

S.A.M....I wouldnt worry. If Nick is doing his wedding then you shouldnt have anything to worry about. They all work together, and train each other.

I was told they all trained together too, so I'd bet all of the photographers have a similar style. I'm sure they'll be beautiful!

I booked with them but they didn't tell me who my photographer is yet and we're getting married next month. Do you meet the photographer before the wedding? We had our engagement shoot and Doug did it but he wasn't sure who our photographer was yet.

Gee, I wouldnt like not knowing who my photographer is. This is someone you are going to be with ALL day. The shots and style were a big deal to me with my wedding, but so was the individuals doing my wedding. I met some photographers that I knew would get on my nerves and didnt stop until I found someone I knew I would be satisfied with. Try to schedule some kind of apt with the person who will be with you all day. Good luck!

I would disagree with the idea that they all have similar styles. In fact, Doug mentioned to us that some of the photographers are much more traditional than others.

Nick did our engagement shots...after that, we switched photographers to Vinny. (Not saying you'll have a bad experience with Nick - I'm sure he does some beautiful work, but we were dispppointed in the shots and never used any of our engagement pictures).

You should definitely meet with your photographer beforehand and see some of their sample albums. Though only a month before your wedding, there really may not be any options as to who is still available.

Patken told us that they would assign a photographer to us. I called today because its a month away and we still don't know who the photographer is. They said Frank. I never heard of him. Did any of you see his work? I have to schedule an appointment to see his work and meet him. We're spending a lot of money and we want to be happy with who we're getting.

Debbus just had Frank for her wedding - but she's probably on her honeymoon...

My photographer was Frank. Nice guy. We took pictures before the ceremony. Great idea, so glad I did that. Can't tell you much until the proofs are in, but he seemed to get some nice shots. Arrived early, stayed late, easy to work with.

I used Frank from Patken for my pictures. My pictures came out OK, nothing fabulous. He wasn't as creative as I would've liked. Patken has so many beautiful pictures in their studio & I thought mine would look more like that, but they didn't.
They are very traditional.

We are using Frank. I saw a finished amblum of his that a bride was picking up that day. Doug was booked for our date as well so we choose Frank because I saw recent work of a bride that wasn't a size 2 and perfect but the we were impressed with the album and we were happy with his work. We had our e-pics done already but I have them in my office at work and none are scanned in otherwise I would post some of then for you. Another thing I did like about Frank I told him I wanted certain pictures of my family (we have 5 generations alive) and he told me he works with the Maid of Honor to make sure he gets the pictures we want of who we want. If you are unsure call Patken and ask to see some of Franks recent work.

Thank you lisat. When I found out who are photographer was and noticed that nobody ever heard of him, I started getting really nervous. I want to make sure that we will be very happy with who we have. I am definately going to make an appointment to see his work. I only saw the one post which wasn't a good one. Thanks for the reassurance before I meet with him next week.
