We used them for my sister's wedding and they were good. Haven't seen the proofs yet.

The photog didn't get any 'getting ready' shots of us. But that was more my sister's fault for not booking them for enough time. She figured on an hour at my house for all the shots of her with us. not really enough time for the bride, bride and dad, bride and mom, bride and grandma, 2 MOHs, 3 BMs, 2 flower girls.....

Plus my sister didn't come out when the photog first got there because she was crying.

I thought they were great with the kids...they really got everyone to look at the camera. and they did some really nice traditonal shots, and some pretty funny group shots.

My sis did have to give them some direction as to the shots she wanted, and they were happy to comply.

I think you need to let them know which shots are the most important to you. Because after the ceremony the photog kept her and groom inside because the priest blocked alot of the shots and he wanted to recreate the ring enchange and candle lighting. But then we ran out of time so there are not shots of us all lined up on the steps of the church.

But again, that was pretty much my sister's choice and ultimately she was very happy with them.

Your e-pics came out great! Where did you go to take them? Did you have to pay extra for that? I asked about going out on location to take them and she said they do them in the studio.

Thanks! I got them taken at Argyle Lake in Babylon. If u want it done out of the studio you have to pay, but in the studio it's free.

I don't want to be negative but...one of my friends used them recently and wasn't happy with her proofs. She expected more in terms of quality bec of what she paid...and they missed important shots that she had wanted. Also one bride on here used them for video and the video broke after two viewings and they treated her very poorly. They wanted a lot of $$ to replace it instead of just giving her another copy...(Um, no video should break after 2 viewings!!!) plus they were rude and unprofessional about it, almost as if they didn't care now that they had her money already. We met with them (on a friend's rec who was very happy with her pictures) but we ended up going with someone else...we did not like that the pics on the walls are not the photographer's that you will have, they are the owner's and he charges through the roof to do weddings now, and that they want you to pay them a ton of money as a deposit without your even getting to meet your photographer.
*This is not meant to upset anyone here BTW...just honest feedback. Many girls love them and are really happy...to each her own and there are tons of photographers out there who do great work.

That is really the first negative response I have heard & I am not saying it is not true. I think it depends on who you deal with at what point in time.I just wanted to comment on the owner's photography, Doug I loved his work but couldn't afford to have him becasue it was an extra $2500 & he wouldn't do the reception. But he trains all of his assistants to shoot like he does. I kid you not FSIL has pics in her house that I thought Doug took but she recently was showing me that they were Jessie.. who we booked. I just wanted to say that just because you don't get Doug doesn't mean that your pictures can't be the same style. They are all awesome.
