Patken, Something in Blue and Duet..

I have called SIB (no video) and their rates are $4600 for 2 photographers, a digital file and the 4x6 proofs. With them, but still need to find someone to do the video. I LOVE LOVE LOVE their style.

Duet was 5000 for the photos and video together w/ 2 parent albulms and an albulm for me.

I haven't called Patken yet but I like their style.

What do you think? Who should I chose?

i hear DUET is awesome...im not using them bc they are booked but i wanted to!

patken is pretty close to that price range as well. so i would choose the one you're most comfortable with that gives you the most stuff in your package.

We used Duet and although we don't have our proofs yet, we LOVED their work for our Epics (pics in album) and the way they were on the day of the wedding. We can't wait to see our pics!

I had an issue with SIB not coming through on a promise so I personally would never recommend them even though their pictures look great. I want a reliable vendor! Don't know anything about Patken but their work looks nice.

I chose Duet and my sister used them too a few years ago. Her pics were amazing and I have yet to hear about one person who had a bad experience with them.

Something in Blue is AMAZING. I don't know anything about Patken except that I heard that they were expensive.... not sure though.

Patken was comparable to less expensive than Duet. They all had amazing pics. I would do a search and look at more pics. Also with Duet and Patken, (I don't know about Something in Blue) it depends on whose team you get. I hear amazing things about Jays team and then there is another team that some girls were dissapointed with.
Just make sure you do your research.

I choose duet. The price was right and we did our engagment pics and LOVED them and they got them to us really fast. We haven't had our wedding yet but I have heard nothing but good things.

If I knew how to post my prof. pics I would ...I didn't think I would love my weddings photographs as much as I do. We met with Patken...from start to finish we were blown away. I would take the time to make an appointment and at least talk with someone there. Good Luck!

It also would depend on what package you get. I only got proofs and pics on a CDs, and the price Duet gave me was lower or the same as anyone else I'd met with or gotten a quote from ... but when you add albums, video, etc, most places tack on the money there. (That's why I am making my own album.)

I would def take a look at Patken-beautiful work! We did not book with them b/c we fell in love with a different photographer--I have the worksheet with our estimates-- check FM...

A friend of mine just had Woo do her wedding about a month ago - saw her proofs - they are wonderful. So, it just depends on what you like and don't like.
