This is a question for brides who have met with both
Why did you choose one over the other?
I have met with both and I felt some of the design work on the albums were similar.
Patken offers one photographer unless you pay extra to have two Duet offers two
The prices seem very different as well.

I didnt meet with Patken because I knew I was booking Duet even before my appointment. My sister and her sister in law used Jay from Duet and their pictures were amazing!

I met with both....
both places had great photographers and beautiful pics
we went with duet because patken was rude to us...didn't get a friendly vibe....i could have cared, you dont have to like me but just take amazing pictures at my wedding...but fh was sooooo turned off, was not an option after meeting with them
this was just my experience....i'm sure many brides will tell you they had a great experience though

I only met with Duet because i had heard from throughout these boards that they worked with any type of budget which was i was looking for most and i simply loved their style from what i had seen in their online portfolios. So far they have met my expectations.

I never met with Patken b.c I heard that they charge extra for certain photographers and also I believe their pictures are copyrighted bc I feel that the pictures should not be copyrighted bc they are your pictures! You are not going to sell them so why should they stamp their names all over the pictures!
Duet does not do that and I love the website that they have that shows venues that they have been too!

I met with both (didn't choose either) but if i had to choose i would def 100% say duet.... we didn't like patken at all... they didn't impress us and they seemed rude when we met with them.. we felt like they were rushing to get us out of there... that is not the attitude we want from a photographer
