This is a question for brides who have met with both
Why did you choose one over the other?
I have met with both and I feel the styles are similar.
Patken uses one photographer Duet uses two
The prices seem very different as well.

I found that the person who I met with at Duet didn't seem very interested in booking us. He met with us for barely 20 mins and seemed exasperated when I didn't have questions and I asked him to tell me about everything....It just turned me off

crashing..I just had my wedding with Duet (epics as well) and cannot say enough WONDERFUL things about them. Also, my bf whom is geting married on 4/4 (i am her moh) is using Patken so I can report back to you on them later!

i find their work really different, actually. i wasnt crazy about meeting with the owner at patken. he talked about how great he was and how great is his work and im like ok but im not going to use YOU- what about your other photographers? duet really focuses on each photographer's talents, and what kind of style you prefer. no offense to anyone using patken as they were my 2nd choice. but leaning towards duet.
Duet just called...my proofs are ready to be picked up!

we met with patken...we liked them..prices were reasonable and they did good work, but then we went to duet and i was blown away by their work...i got the they are the one feeling...thats why we booked with duet

I looked at both and thought their stuff was nice, I kind of felt like some of the pictures that Patken took were slightly inappropriate. (Just my opinion) Duet's work was impeccable, so we went with them.

I met with both Patken and Duet. I ended up booking with Duet because we got 2 photographers and could take our epics whereever we wanted.

we booked with patken, and we have 2 photographers also. why do you say you only get one with patken??

We met with both and I liked both... Patken was only one photographer unless u upgraded to the next plan whereas i believe duet came with 2 originally.... I'm surprised you say the prices are different... I would say Duet was about 1k more but if you got the 2nd photographer with patken they were around the same from what i remember...

I looked at Duet.. FH went to both.
I loooved Duet from the moment we walked into their studios (just got a good vibe)
FH said he wasn't a fan of Patken shooting in square frames. Like 4x4, 11x11, 12x12, 5x5. He felt that it was awkward and might take away from some wide lense shots (don't ask me.. i know nothing about this stuff lol)
Price wise we were getting A LOT more with Duet.

I got a quote from duet that was $250 more than patken but duet offered way more!!!!

I got a quote from duet that was $250 more than patken but duet offered way more!!!!

if you liked patken better go back with him and tell him what Duet was offering you (don't say it was more though) and see if he can meet it.
