Patkens negligence with availability

If anyone is thinking of making an appointment with Patken photography, they waisted my time. I emailed them last week of my wedding date in Aug of 2002. They emailed me back that the date was still available. I called to make an appointment and asked again if the date was available. They said it was. My fiancee left work early to go there with me today. When we got there they asked if the date was in 2003. I said that it was 2002. They said that I said that it was 2003. I told him I had emailed firstof my exact date and he said that I put in the computer the year 2003. Anyway, my date was not available and when I went home and checked exactly what my email to them said, I put the right date and they were wrong. They could of appologized or said it was their mistake, but instead it was like too bad for me. Needless to say, I am glad I found out today how incompetent they are with their dates rather than booking them and them screwing up later on.

Did you ask for a specific photographer???

The reason I am asking is because I know they have several photographers. Maybe someone else would be available. Sorry to hear about your experience but I have nothing but good things to say about them.

Patken was great when I went to meet them. I live in VA and the only day I was available to meet with Patken was on a Sunday. They are closed on Sunday, but Steve met my fiance and I anyway.

We met with several photographers and Patken was by far our favorite. We also have Steve and are so excited, his work is beautiful and so far it has been a pleasure to work with them. I am sorry to hear of your experience..we had some bad experience with other photographers as well..it happens. Good luck with your photographer search :)
