my parents checked it out for me(I'm in CA) - they didn't like it.
Its a very very casual venue, so keep that in mind. They also have limited hours (must be out at dusk).
I think the pavilion can seat 100 and then they can add a separate tent for additional guests (so they'd be in a separate room/tent).
Its on the boardwalk so any passer-bys can join in your wedding. I think when myparents were there the DJ was set up on the boardwalk (attracting even more uninvited guests)
All in all, it was a disappointment for the type of wedding we were looking for (elegant/formal). But it really depends on your style.
Good luck.

Pavillion at sunken meadow...Lisa

WOw I really wasnt expecting to hear all that. I must say i am suprised, because it looks like such an elegant and yet formal place, and it looked very private, thats why we like it.I agree with you, i dont want people walking in on my wedding, no way. I saw the inside of the hall online, and come to think of it your right it did seem very casual. It kind of looked like a basket ball court, with alot of tables on it. Thanks hun.

sorry of it wasn't what you were expecting

I didn't see it for myself but that was the report I got. I've only seen the online pictures.
I was disappointed because I thought it was such a great location (and very reasonably priced).
You may want to check it out yourself and come to your own conclusions. (My parents are pretty particular :)
Glad to help any way I can - I remember the painful searching for the perfect place days - it was my least favorite part of the planning.

Where did you end up booking for your wedding?

siran - we decided on Land's End

pricer than I was looking for but we got some money off since we're in April.

you won't be disappointed there - we love it!
