moisturizer? I put an unscented moisterizer on Pastina's tummy because the skin gets really dry. It seems to help her a lot!

What about spraying bitter apple on his paws so he doesn't like them.. Maybe then the skin would get better..
Better yet.. call the vet. I have no idea what I am talking about!!

Re: Paws help

have you been walking him outside at all? sometimes the salt from the plows to melt the snow affects their pads. if you do walk him, maybe invest in those little booties.

Re: Paws help

I asked a friend and she said this: (hope it helps):::::::

You have to figure out why he is licking in the first place. It could be one of many things:

Allergies
OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder)
Boredom
Aniexity

Look at the food he is being fed. Is there corn, wheat, soy, or some other 'filler' in it? Then change it to a better 'super premium' food. It could be a problem with the protein source. Something like a venison and green pea or Fish and Sweet Potato could also be an answer.

If it is any of the others, then you'll need to look at his life everyday. Is he a typical Min Pin? A little jumpy or hyper? Does he have an outlet for energy? If not, he might need one.

Was there a big change in his life recently? Move? New family member? 4 legged or 2 legged! Owner gone more?

Hope some of that helps!

Re: Paws help

I bought Bitter End, which is a product like Bitter Apple. It says that you can safely use it directly on the dog's skin if he is licking.
