Has anyone else been told by their florist that they have to pay for their sample centerpiece?

no, you shouldn't have to pay. and in fact, they should make as many samples until you are happy with it.

thats ridiculous! I had 2 samples made and didnt pay for either...and got to keep the flowers---before I even booked! Flowers by Gina!

Thats ridiculous! You definitely shouldn't have to pay My florist told me that he'll make me as many samples as it takes for me to be happy. I never heard of someone charging for samples!

Us too! Gina had tow amazing samples for us... and didn't charge anything.

Nope. Pedestals did a sample for me but after I booked with them. Well, they gave me a sample of the flowers that will be in my centerpiece.. they put them in a mini bo-k for me before I booked. But they do the actual sample centerpiece the month before your wedding for free. And they keep it at their showroom.
