This is my first job where I paid by salary not hourly. Does anyone know how much tax is usually taken out. Is it the same as hourly. I am thinking they may take a little bit more now because my status is married instead of single. I feel silly asking but I need to know!
They tax rate doesn't change because of salary or hourly. Being married, your taxes should go down not up. Make sure that you are filing Married 0, otherwise you could get stuck paying taxes. I feel it is better to get back then to even break even and esp if I had to pay. You get a tax break for being married (even for you car insurance too).
No problem. I did payroll for awhile. Unless you don't mind paying or squeaking by, it is best to pay more taxes now and get it back later. I usually use the money for a vac with my kids.
