Paying for wedding proofs from Silverfox

Paying for wedding proofs from Silverfox

Hey Girls...I'm looking to finalize a contract with Silverfox, FH and I absolutely love them...BUT we're a little unsure about the whole 'you have to pay for the proofs' deal...Has anyone been able to negotiate with them to get all their proofs included? I can't image having to pay for all our proofs, especially since we're having 2 photographers! Thanks!

Really? Because they told me they'll give me $200.00 towards any prints I want them to make, and that I have to PAY an additional 30 cents for each proof that they print out for me.....And it says it in the little price book they give you......Hmmm

ok just got my contract out...and at the bottom under final payment..it says proof pick-up $200 and unedited video pick-up $200- so I'm freaking right now thinking when I come back from honeymoon i have to give them $400 off the bat just to pick them up? I'm calling tomorrow to double check. Nothing i can do about it now! It is what it is!!! I also get a $250 credit towards any additional things I want! WOOPIE when we are spending $8500.

Okay, call tomorrow and keep me updated! lol I REALLY want to book with them but paying an additional couple of hundred after the fact kinda *****. John made a point of saying it like twice when we met with him that he gives the brides/grooms the hi-res dvd with all the proofs and then asks that they pay for them to be printed because their photographers take 'unlimited pics' and it would be too much for them to print all of the pictures out........Maybe they changed their policy......See what you can find out. TIA!!

If you get all of your proofs on hi-res disc, it mightbe worth it. This way you can tell him which ones you want and he will crop and fix them up and then you can be free to print out the rest of them on your own through Kodak or something.

Same for us and we prob had close to 2000 proofs...

ETA that we also got disks with all of the proofs on them in addition to hard copy, prints of the proofs

Ok when FH came home last night from playing cards, I asked him about this. He said that we pay everything but $400 - that's our 'final payment' when we pick up the proofs and video. It is included in the total cost of our contract..it's just that we pay that at the end!

Ok, so it looks like they've updated their policies. They no longer proof jobs.......so I'll be paying for proofs that I want them to print out. But I'm not tied to having them print them, I can always print them using shutterfly.com or CVS or anything else. For those brides that signed contracts before they changed their policies, you're very lucky, you'll still get your free proofs. For the rest of us.....I still love them and don't think its really THAT big of a deal in the long run. As long as the pictures are awesome, that's what really matters anyway!
