Paying for Wedding -- when do you settle the bill?

Paying for Wedding -- when do you settle the bill?

Just wondering - at The Sans Souci you have to pay the balance in full 3 days prior to the event...
Does eveyone have the same policy?
What if something goes wrong the day before?? (hopefully not)
I just wanted to find out if this was a normal policy - thanks

We have to give a final number 10 days prior to the wedding. At that time, 95% of the balance is due. This gives us a 5% no-show leeway the day of the wedding - if they don't show up (and, of course, we're reached our minimum), we don't have to pay for them.

Mine's the same, obviously. Eogara, do you know when we during the day we give the extra 5%?
I should ask that when I go.

We have to pay the remainder 3 days prior to showtime. Fh called and asked what happened if we were like $500 short or something and the BM said he would break our legs...then he started laughing hysterically. Pfft..I was scared. I am sure if you are short by $500 or less the show will go on, but we asked just to be safe b/c there are way too many 'what if's' when planning a wedding. Like 'what if' I need that $500 to pay bills so I have somewhere to live after the wedding!

We are planning to have all vendors paid in full 2 weeks before the wedding date. I think Leonard's requires full payment 10 days fore the wedding.

i have major fil problems and fh getting the $ is a concern for me b/c they haven't offered yet & they are supposed to give us the $ for their guests in 1 week. he said it isn't a worry for him, so i have to believe it or else fh is paying for them!

i think our final payment is 10 days before... basically give them the # minus some people so if people cancel last minute then your not stuck, otherwise if they all show up the hall will just ask for more $$
