I still have yet to get a photographer, videographer, flowers, etc. When you book these people do most of them work out payment plans or does everything have to be paid for in full?

Re: Paying Vendors-Silly Q
Usually what happens is you leave a deposit of a certain amount and then you pay off the rest as the wedding gets closer.

You should never pay your balance in full. Always work out a payment plan with your vendors.
You should finish paying them once their services are complete with you.

most are really good about it. you put a deposit than you can keep paying till the day of, or wait till a few days before and pay it all. we're paying ours a little every few months so the day doesn't come and we go omg 10,000 for all that? in cash or cashiers check!

you don't mention in your list about a DJ. If you still need one, Vinny from High Voltage is terrific. He does not push extra services on you and he has quite a number of good reviews here. We are using him for our wedding. And he only wanted a $100 deposit with the balance on the day of.
For photog, we are using Silverfox. One thing they allow which will keep your budget down before the wedding is that you don't need to select an album; you can gp with just the photography service which includes 4x6 proofs and hi res DVD 'negatives'. They freeze the album prices when you sign the contract and you can order an album after the wedding which is what we plan to do. So you might want to check them too.
Celestial photo ( Lou Cohen) has you pay I think 2/3 of it before and you pay the final amount when he delivers your finished album. So if this helps you stagger some payments he might be worth checking also. HTH

On top of what the other girls said, FYI most of your vendors will want everything in cash and some will even let you pay their balance the day of.
Good Luck!

We have a few DJ friends that we may end up going with. But if for some reason they fall through I will definitely check out Vinny. Ive heard some many great things about him and High Voltage.
SIlverfox sounds great because I was planning on not doing the wedding album until we can afford a nice one afterwards. I just checked out the site and their pics look beautiful. Ill probably make an appt with them.
Thanks for the info!

Don't pay in full until the day of the wedding!!!
Most vendors will request a deposit (usually under a $1K) to book the date...
then, you can pay as you go .... but leave a balance... or pay the bulk of it the day of or the week of the wedding.
