we have a lot our final payment due in January. I was thinking of getting bank checks now and putting them aside so I don't have to worry about having the money later (after the holidays and everything) do you think this is a good idea and do you think the vendors would take them? Would they still be valid 2 months later? Either that or pay them early I guess but not too comfortable with that...

I would check your contracts. Some may want cash. Also, some eliminate tax if you pay cash

I think they are valid for 6 months but check with your bank. I think I paid like $7 for my last bank check. If you need a lot of them that might add up. I know a lot of vendors told me cash which I don't like.
