So if your're a Westbury Manor bride then you know how the payment plan works. My question is this....we are booked for 2/20 and paid a deposit and then our first mail in payment. The next isnt until August....is it a bad idea to pay some more money before then? We are paying for most everything ourselves and I would just feel better knowing that the big stuff is paid down as much as possible before the end comes... I am planning on buying insurance to be safe so if anything happens....(bad weather...) I will get all my money back anyway if we have to cancel...Thoughts....

Although I'm not a WM bride, our hall (Watermil) set us up on a payment plan also and FH and I send in money almost every month because we too want to keep chipping away at it as much as possible! Our BM said its a common thing that couples do.

We were thinking about doing that too… it just seems easier to pay as much as possible and get it out of the way. But I think instead we’re going to open a savings account and put everything in there until we HAVE to pay the rest of the deposits – that way at least whatever money we have is collecting interest.
(I'm not a WM bride but Swan Club lets you do the same thing. :))

I'm a WM bride and we are paying based on their 3 month plan or whatever, but i think that was what we preferred. If you prefer paying most of the hall now and the remaining a couple days before the wedding I'm sure they won't give you any problems. Contact your BM and see if it's an option.

Why not? We're probably going to do that too. Just a warning though - WM doesnt send the bill for the payments until VERY close to the due date.

I'm a WM bride and I think we're going to pay as much as we can over the next year whenever - aka not sticking to their payment plan. My BM didn't seem to have a problem with that.

Im not a WM bride but still Scotto Bros. Im paying more each payment. Or even in between payments. I want to leave like a 3/4 grand bill just in case something goes wrong. Not an 11grand bill like they have me scheduled for. I dont want to worry abotu money that day. So i think thats a good amount to leave as open.
