Payroll - Question?

Payroll - Question?

How do you figure out your NETPAY?

I just got a raise and I know what the new GROSS will be but I want to figure out how much I can expect to see after taxes ...

Anyone know how to calculate?

I know They had to sneak it under the 2005 budget radar so I can get one in January too ... It's been a tough battle, but it's starting to pay off. But shhhhh, it's a hush hush over here!

My FH works for Paychex so I can ask him... but he is away at his bachelor party right now.

Re: Payroll - Question?

If you go to the IRS site & the NYS sites, you could look for wage/withholding tables to figure it out.

Unless it's a really big raise, I generally apply the same percentage of withholding to my new rate to get a ball park.

Thanks. I need my old pay stub because I need the amount of taxes held YTD and per paycheck, plus other deductions. I guessed but wasn't positive.

I am NOT suprised!!!! I literally had to show them all my bills and how I was supporting myself. I used to have $40 spending money from one check to the next when I worked there after bills. I am not kidding!!

Luckily I work for who I work for and have been taken care of. One of my bosses left 2 years ago and I took her place along with everything else I do so I kind of been waiting for the bump up in pay ... It came slowly but surely but it finally surpased what I expected, thank goodness!
