I have it and never knew until May of 05. I see an endocrinolgists. She and the obgyn said the same thing that I should not have a problem concieving.

I was diagnosed with it, but only recently. I'm beginning to wonder if my BC did it. I'm also wondering if they are right. I go on Monday to see if the Metformin has been doing anything, which I don't think it has.

I'm on my last depo shot now, so we'll be TTC in a few months!

It was very hard for me to become pregnant..
I had tp take Provera, Clomid 150 mg and Hcg 15000 units.

Some people with PCOS they don't even know thet have it..

If you want a Really GOOD dr use Dr. David Rosenfeld in North Shore University Hospital in manahasset Ny

There is an excellent reproductive group there., they never thought I would get pregnant I did 12/26/97 but act while you still can. I had dd in 98 and waited too long after to get pregnant, in 2004 I had to have a hysterectomy due to a pcos cyst bursting..

I have it. You should really see an endocrinolgists. PCOS really isn't a reproductive problem it's an endocrine problem but my dr. has also told me that conceving should n't be a problem. You should also read the book PCOS What to do when the Doctor says it's PCOS. It has a lot of information about the illness.

Good luck!

Conception is a problem for women with PCOS. Please see a specialist. If there are elevated insulin levels, them the egg won't implant or develop.

Women with PCOS also don't ovulate on their own and if they do, the eggs are usually immature or too mature.

I have PCOS. I was diagnosed 15 years ago & told I would have trouble concieving....

I was put on Metformin for weight gain... apparently it boosts your fertility as well b/c I got pregnant while ON THE PILL. We're due in March.

I have it too. Got diagnosed when I was 21 and stupidly did nothing about it b/c it was easier to 'forget about it' than to deal with it.
DH and I want kids soon so now I'm dealing with it. I go to Dr. Michael Lydic and think he's great. I'm supposed to have an endometrial biopsy done on friday but am going to hold off a week so I can get a ride home because I hear it's not overly pleasant and don't think that I should drive myself home.

I posted above about my doubts of my diagnosis. I was right. I had PCOS symptoms in the past few years only. It ended up being a result of something else. (I had regular periods through the age of 28) So, if you have recent symptoms, have other things checked!!!!!! PCOS isn't only a cause of things, it can be the result of other things.
