I did post some of this info elsewhere in a thread but I thought to post it again because I know many brides are on a budget. For those that want to buy your BM's pearl necklaces, look into MACY's and the brand, Charter Club.
I bought a faux pearl necklace and earrings there by CHARTER CLUB and people are always asking me how I dare to wear such beautiful saltwater pearls every day, because they are fragile and can damge so easily!
Its really sad but they look JUST like the expensive REAl ones my poor FH paid an arm and a leg for (he got them for me for Xmas before we realized I cannot wear them everyday because hairspray, lotion, etc can damage them) AND they won't damage easily like real pearls will. He growls when I wear the fake ones LOL because people who know he bought me pearls ALWAYS mistake these for the real thing. Even my mother loves them and you know how moms can be.
The necklace cost me about $18.00 I think and the earrings were $10-12.00 and hypoallergenic backs. I know some girls want their BMs to wear pearls and the faux ones by charter are a better bet than freshwater because they have a nicer shape (round instead of irregular) and honestly no one can tell the dang difference so they will wear them again.

Re: Pearl necklaces for BM's
great budget idea!!!
for other brides (like me) who have very few bridesmaids..... I got these from overstock.com for under $70/piece.... a genuine 14k gold tahitian pearl necklace.... there are many other amazing deals on their site. (There is a sterling silver tahitian pearl pendant for about $44). just make sure the customer reviews are almost flawless for the item... then you definitely won't be disappointed
