if anyone is thinking of ordering their BM dresses online - do it through Pearl's Place - i ordered 7 Alfred Angelo dresses - which an unnamed bridal suite wanted $175 plus shipping and tax - for $114 each - i ordered in December 2007 and they arrived last week - they are perfect and were so reasonably priced...

http://www.pearlsplace.com/
i picked out my dresses from alfred angelo and had my girls 'try on' and get sized at a local boutique - to figure out their size (which of course we didnt tell them that we wouldnt be ordering there) - then I just called Pearl's Place to place the order...
they mailed me my receipt that day - and my dresses came in in less than 3 months
you can tell what designers they carry from their website -
i got a call the day it was being delivered to let me know that they were arriving!

Re: Pearl's Place
and it saved each of my girls approx. 65-75 - so it was definitely worth it - you cant get a nice regular dress for $114 sometimes - so i thought it was well well worth it - and the ladies there were so nice on the phone!

Re: Pearl's Place
it will all depend on the girl how much alterations they will need - it will vary by designer, and dress and body type of each girl -
i have an awesome tailor that i recommended to them...
it would have been the same if they got it at the bridal boutique they tried it on at - they all would have needed alterations except for one of them...

Re: Pearl's Place
yeah - the same dress they tried on (not in the color that i wanted of course because they have to be altered) - and then the boutique sized them - i just told them we werent quite ready to order - so no one left a deposit or anything....

Re: Pearl's Place
I would just be worried that alterations would cost much more.
