I'm using Pedestals - choosing my florist was a hard decision, I met with Designs by Rose, Flower Michelle, and Pedestals and I really believed in Pedestals the most. I met with Nadia and she and I really clicked, it was like she was reading my mind. I am fully confident that my flowers will be gorgeous!!!

Wait, this is not for the Pedestals many of you girls are using, is it? It is for a Pedestals in Garden City Park on Herrick's Road.....Pedestals is on Jericho Tpke. in MIneola..............

its off of jericho turnpike on herricks road but they also have other locations

they are a few blocks away from where i grew up and i used to pass that building on my way to school. when they first opened i couldn't imagine what such a beautiful building was doing in that dingy industrial area...they really stood out and i used to wonder what the heck it was!! i thought it was a really fancy restaraunt. i didn't find out what it actually was till years later and then it made sense!

i have heard they do amazing work!! congrats on being booked w them, i'm sure your flowers will be beautiful!

I'm confused.....one address comes up with a Herrick's Road address....and one has a Jericho Tpke address. My plan was to go there today and now I'm all confused. I pass a Pedestals all the time on Jericho Tpke and always thought that was it....

yeah its around the corner from jericho turnpike, you make a turn on herricks road from jericho and its up the block, its a few blocks from Jericho terrace...they used to be across the street from Jericho terrace on jericho tpk but they moved and now flower michelle is across the street

I was confused too. It is the one on Herricks. I called them to ask them which location I'm going to and they were very adamant about there being only one. Well, not according to yellowpages.com! Anyway, herricks is the correct location

yeah they probably forgot to take off their old location, they were on jericho but moved

I am meeting with Pedestals tomorow at 1:00pm. I am CLUELESS about flowers and am really nervous and don't know what to expect.

If anyone wouldn't mind sharing pricing information with me, I'd love it if you could FM me what you guys are getting so I can maybe get a handle on what I should expect.

Here's what I'm looking for ideally....

17 High CPs
1 Bride BoK
8 BM BoKs
1 JR BM BoK
10 Bouts
5 corsages (or whatever you do for moms and grandmas)
1 Church Spray
Maybe some rose petals for place card table

I know different flowers are different prices, but I plan on adjusting what flowers I get to whatever I need to fit my budget (since I don't know anything about flowers to begin with!).

I called the phone number from there website and I didn't ask them but I assumed I was going to the Herricks Road address - is that wrong??

From what I just learned, that's right. I didn't know they moved...I just had a mini-heart attack before when I saw the site and it said 'Herricks Road'....I always knew it to be located on Jericho Tpke. Read this entire post and you'll see what I mean lol

tell them your budget and they'll work with you...i walked in with no pics and no exact thoughts of what i wanted just some ideas...they'll ask about your theme, colors and show you cp's in their showroom and they have many pics on their computer they'll show you.

I have 25 high cp's and then theres my bok, 10 bm bok's, 12 gm bouts, 5 nosegays(mini bok's for moms and grandmothers) 12 pew bows, 2 church altars, place card table, and i think a few other things so dont want to give a quote bc i have more flowers so won't work out.

Think about your colors, what color flowers you want, whether you want high or low cp's.

yeah you need an appointment, and yeah i had to wait to call until later also when i booked
