As a spinoff to Lisalou's post, I am going to start interviewing pediatricians. Does anyone have a pediatrician that they would recommend? I'm not sure at this point I have any preferences to male or female, young or old, etc., but I guess location and hospital affliation might be helpful.
I am located on the north shore of Nassau County and would prefer something in that area, but would be willing to go as far west as Port Washington/Roslyn and as far east as Huntington. I am not opposed to gong to the south shore either, as I grew up there and can find my way aorund.
Recommendations?

We have to find a pediatrician now too. We are going by a friend's recommendations and someone that is close to where we live. I think that will be a big plus.

I love mine. Her name is Dr. Nayor and she is in Plainview on Old Country Rd. Her number is 516-822-1400. We met with her while I was pregnant and 'interviewed' her and I really liked her. We have been really happy so far!

Would you go to Bellmore? I used to see this doctor (right when he was starting out). He's still pretty young. His name is Dr. Jassey and he's in Bellmore. Don't know the number off hand but he is the NICEST man ever!

Trish there is an excellent pediatrician right on South Street in Oyster Bay. At the moment I cannot remember his name (this is what happens to us old folks) but his office is on the east side of the street just before you get to Dodds and Eder. It is in one of the old victorian houses there (a blue one I think). Some of the women I used to work with lived locally and they used him and raved about him. If I drive by I will look at the sign and let you know his name.

Wendy, please do that if you will. Or I will on Thursday as I head to the dentist. My dentist is on the corner opposite Dodds and Eder southwest side).
