FH and I will be trying this year right after the wedding. My gyn has started fertility prep tests. I went to take a pelvic sono but she had to do a vaginal sono b/c she couldn't see one of my ovaries clearly. Is this normal and what are they looking for? I haven't received the result yet but just a little nervous.

Re: pelvic sono
I have had quite a few vaginal u/s. Depending on where you are in your cycle they are checking to see if your ovaries are producing follies and if so, how big are they..if you are past ovulation they are checking to see if there is a rupture mark where the eggie busted through the wall. Lastly, with a vaginal u/s they can also measure the thickness of your uterine lining...if it is too thin than an egg can't implant very well.
