Penalty fees at Crest Hollow

Has any used Crest hollow before and had to postpone wedding b/c of death of grandparent? They are not allowing us to postpone b/c the wedding is supposed to be June 6th.... two or so months away... we haven't sent out invites but frankly, who wants to celebrate when one of our grandparents is suddenly terminally ill and on deathbed... i'm thinking abt calling the bbb on them. we dont want to cancel just postpone.... any help is appreciated..

They should allow you to postpone. That is just wrong. I wish I could be of more help. I think you should keep pressing them. Ask to speak with the owner. Good luck!

They def should let you postpone!
Places let people postpone all the time.. esp now with the economy the way it is. I've heard of a few girls pushing their wedding back bc of it.

Perhaps the problem is that it's somewhat short notice... but still...it's not like you don't have a valid reason. That's soooo inhumane of him! They totally should let you postpone!!

Fight that!

I am sorry to hear about your FI's grandfather. What a terrible thing to stress over during this time.

I would write to the owner via email.... keep a track record of all correspondence. Explain your situation, who you spoke to that gave you that answer and how you don't understand how insensitive they are being. Explain that you still want to have your wedding there and you're only asking for an alternate date, not to cancel. Also mention that this is something your friend at (fill in some big newspaper or news show) would be very interested in reporting on.... how businesses like yours react in these hard times. How they can either be sensitive and become heroes or insensitive and indifferent. Bad publicity is not a good thing with this economy. You can be nice, but have that sly DON'T mess with me message behind your words. Let us know how it goes for you. Good Luck.
