pennsylvania brides..

if i remember correctly there was one or two on the board here..

dh and i are moving. *fingers crossed*.. to PA.. and I'm trying to find a website with houses on it that also have the taxes listed.. and I can't.. Something similiar to the mlsli.com.. Is there one? I know what areas we're looking at, we have loads of family there, and we're super excited about it.. but finding out about the taxes is hard as heck..

any suggestions?

I live in Philadelphia right now, but I haven't looked for houses and I'm moving to NJ so I can't really help, just wanted to give you a bump.....I think there are at least 5 or 6 PA girls on here (and debismom too, maybe she can help!!).

Where in PA are you looking??

thank you so much Debismom!! your fabulous!! are taxes really that low? i mean median is $3500! i think dh and i would do cartwheels to pay $3500. heck we'd be happy to pay $6500 if it was for a full sized house in a good school district with a decent amount of land...

Hello,

I'm in NY but moving to Pa in June and FH and I have been house hunting. The taxes are pretty low between $2k-4K. Basically higher the price so is the taxes. When FH calls me back (IF ever ) I will get some info for you.

oh wow. thanks alyssa!! what part are you and your fh looking to move to? we are hopefully going to be there as soon as the baby is born. middle of august.. well hopefully dh will be there and working by the end of april. i'mma hate having him gone though..

FH and I are leaving PA, we're moving south somewhere... we find out on Wednesday what residency FH was matched with and where we're going. Good luck though with the move, i'm on the other end of the state... in Pittsburgh, but I know all around it's much cheaper to live here than on LI!

I hear ya. FH moved in Nov and I am going to be here till June without him. But it works out because I can be the crazy bride without him around. We are looking at Montgomery County as well (Landsdale, Ambler). His cousin is selling his house for $250k in Landsale but we saw a bunch of good houses for UNDER that! Try to get that in LI (not happening). I spoke to tfh earlier and he said to look at realtor.com and put in Pa (Montgomery County and that's like the mls here. If you need any other help, just ask.
