the pics look nice but there's a few things that bother me about their site. 1: there are no current pics. 2006 are last ones. 2. words forgotten in sentences (to me that's very unprofessional when trying to sell yourself..this should've been proofed) 3. why are they charging for all these things that others have included??

Re: Pennylane
here's one ADD CAMERAMAN TIME | $100/hr and 2 BRIDE or GROOM GETTING READY | $299
just reading on other photogs sites that their assistant can double up as a 2nd photog and most places you can have the photog for 9 or 10 hours. these guys their package says from 'Full coverage of ceremony through reception (up to 10 hours)' so why isn't the getting ready included??
and the upgrade price for a bluray disc? $500?? Come on

Re: Pennylane
I know. It's so expensive...but I've seen a lot of trailers and they are AMAZING. I need to go there and try to negotiate...I'm good at that. But I'm also going to be looking at other video companies. Anyone have reccomendations for which ones to check out? I want a video that has an interesting style...one that isnt the normal boring wedding video. Thanks Ladies!

Re: Pennylane
My bro and his fiance booked with Pennylane and they absolutely love his work, but he is a bit pricey. If you can talk him down then I think he would be worth it. His trailers are amazing and he is not traditional at all, so if you are looking for someone different and non-traditional he is the one to book with. I booked with Spotlight and I have seen several of his videos from friends that used him already. I was very impressed with his work and he worked with us on price. If Pennylane doesn't work out, I highly recommed Spotlight:) Hope this was helpful!!!

Re: Pennylane
if you like them go for it by all means. you're 'talking' to a very stubborn person here so when something is in my head that I want...I go for it :D. Try to negotiate with them. If it doesn't work, I would still look and see who comes close style wise.
I'd like to know how it turns out if you're going soon

There's a very popular vendor on here that I REFUSE to book with because their webpage doesn't work... for very much the same reason. A poorly designed website when you're trying to attracted a large number of people who use the internet for communication is just bad business.
You wouldn't know it by my posts but I used to proofread for a living... So yeah, if you can't be bothered to run a spell check, etc. on a PROFESSIONAL site you won't get my business. That's sloppy.

I love there work but I think its way out of my budget. Let us know how negotiable they are and if they really nickle and dime you for everything.Good luck!

theyre not photographers they do video only, not sure what pics youre looking at on the site. Also they have a bunch of recent videos on their site, go to their blog and its from this year or winter of 07
I used them and cant rave enough about them.
The reason why its extra for getting ready is bc it can be more than 10 hours. My ceremony was at 2:30 and reception ended at 1:30am...pennylane went to dh's house at 11:45am and had to be at the church at 1:30pm, they get there an hour earlier to set up. So keep in mind that your whole day can be alot longer than 10 hours. I was getting ready at 10am and until 1:30am when reception ended was 15 hours
the day of my wedding they did a wedding movie trailer...they edited it during CH and played it at my reception...it amazed that they were able to edit it this way in such a short period of time. This was the trailer they played at my reception
