Are they not the most cutest!!! I love this flower, does anyone know if a centerpiece with all peonies would be rather expensive? Are they a pricey flower?? TIA Kat

Re: Peonies....
they are pricey and only available in may i believe but since youre late april you might get away with it
I dont think they have a long enough stem to be in CPs, unless are low and small
I love love love peonies!!!!! they are gorgeous! my florist said she will get them for my bok only for me since I love them so much, too expensive to get them for anything more than that in september
also remember that they have a very strong smell, so if youre sensitive to that, they will smell all day!

Re: Peonies....
FSIL had penoies for her bridal bouquet and they were so pretty! I'm pretty sure she said that they were kinda pricey, but beautiful nonetheless

Re: Peonies....
I am getting them for my wedding, I am having them in my short and tall cps and bouquets!!!!!!! I absolutely love them!!!!!! B U R T O N S gave me an amazing deal on them, I would check them out. If you want the peonies, they are a very expensive flower, but they are very large so you need less.

Re: Peonies....
very pricey... i've heard like $5 each flower. If you want something that looks similar, try garden roses or ranaculous. Both really look like peonies and are much cheaper.

It might be less expensive for you because you are getting married when they are in season! Lucky girl!!!

Re: Peonies....
peonies are gorgeous! but yes, they are on the pricey side.
they are usually only available during mother's day season unless you pay to have them shipped from holland or south america and that is
HTH!

Re: Peonies....
depends on the time of year. My florist told me imported ones during off season look nothing like the ones we all love so much and they have a rather rancid looking center. I wanted peonies and got my mini lesson that day.

I was told they would be cheaper than garden roses. But I'm also getting married in May.

Re: Peonies....
Pricey but gorgeous! They don't have a very long blooming season either. It's really end of April/May and that's it! I just did peonies for my bo-k and then did something else entirely for my CPs.
ETA: My bo-k lasted 2 days after the wedding. It looked amazing! Didn't dry out at all!

Re: Peonies....
I believe peonies are in season after May actually. I wanted to throw a few in my centerpieces, but my florist said they were not quite in season yet. I opted out!

Re: Peonies....
Ranunculus has a similar type of layered feel but I'm not sure when they are in season or if they are any cheaper than Peonies
