I had my shower this past weekend, it was a surprise and it was great! After my shower I got to talking with my sisters about how they basically had to hunt people down for rsvps and how some people said they were coming and then didnt. They didnt even send a gift! Also, family that has had recent weddings (and showers) that I went to and gave money or didnt go to and gave money or gifts gave nothing! This is in poor taste as far as I am concerned! What do you girls think?

Wait until you have to hunt people down for wedding RSVPs...and you have people who don't give a gift.
Unfortunately, from what I hear from people, it's par for the course. It's just something we all, unfortunately, have to deal with.

I'm with ya! I've had multiple issues w/ certain people throughout my wedding planning.... I hate to say it, but you learn who you really want by your side, during this whole thing...and who really wants to BE by your side!
I plan on closing up my circle real tight after 4/28!!
Don't let it get you down. Move on and focus on your big day!! These people aren't worth your time ...

I hate having to rely on other people. If they say theyre going to do something or attend they should do it or at least call and say they can't anymore. I just don't understand.
Maybe those people will send you one wedding gift. wishful thinking...

I totally agree! My sister planned my shower and I personally had to hunt people down for them to RSVP to her! Some still haven't and my shower is this Sunday! I told her to just assume they are a 'no.'

true colors come out throughout this entire process. i had the most amazing shower and yes there was a lot of crap behind the scenes but it really made me appreciate everyone that actually was there. pay them no mind, their loss. at this point, nothing surprises me and i've learned to not have any expectations anymore.

Of course people are rude!!!! That's the way of life now. It happened for my bridal shower and bach. party and now I'm sure it will happen for my wedding, I don't expect anything to change lol.
