People dropping out less then 2 weeks before the wedding

Yesterday we had 5 people call and say they cannot come to the wedding anymore. I can't be mad because these people had valid reasons but I cant help but be sad 2 of them are my aunt and uncle and the other 3 are fh's cousins. These are people I had counted on being there for our big day

Omg i'm so sorry!! I totally know where your coming from my aunt is not coming to my shower and i feel sad so i can imagine not having these ppl on your big day.

I had this happen too. At least yours had valid reasons. Some of mine didnt and I knew they were lying to me about the reasons.

People will drop out the week of don't be surprise. I would give you RH a few people less when you give your final count

I have been having the same thing and now we are under our guarantee. I am so mad, but there is nothing I can do so i will not let it rain on m parade

It suck$ but your day will be perfect regardless!!!

Awww, hun, I really know the feeling. This happened to us with a couple of people. It stinks but everyone who was MEANT to be there will be there and the day will be perfect without those who aren't.

I'm sorry they can't be there!

I just found out this week that my great aunt and uncle aren't coming and I was very sad too. Since my grandmother passed away this year, they're really among the very few from that generation who could even possibly be here. I really miss my grandparents right about now.

But I know they have their reasons (my great aunt doesn't fly and the 10 hour drive is just too much for them) so it'll be ok. I'm going to just make sure to celebrate just a little more in their honor.

My 86 y/o grandfather will be there and that means the world to me! You still have so many people to celebrate with that you should be happy about! It's coming up so soon!!!!!!!!!!!

I was really upset when three people dropped out last week--a good friend from college and her husband (her sick cousin decided three weeks ago to get remarried in FLORIDA on my day, and her family would flip on my friend if she didn't show) as well as a friend who got asked to go to London on business. All valid reasons, but I was a bit sad. HOWEVER, I know that the people who will be at the wedding are coming a long way to celebrate with us.

awww Gail...im sorry that happened...i had people who I thought would be there decline and I was really sad...however, I can tell you now that you will just be so happy to celebrate with those that COULD be there..keep your chin up and enjoy your last two weeks planning...it will fly!

Im having the same problem....2 people dropped out last night.... we are now under our min too ugh!

My RH told me to give them the final # with 5-10 people less than what we expect. They said we can always pay for them later. I thought that was really nice.

Everyone I know had people change their RSVP to no in the final weeks before the big day.

It happens, I know it's hard, but don't take it personal
