Some of you may remember me coming on the other day really excited that one of my BM is pregnant..
Well, now I am like soo ticked off at her..
Since I was about 15, I had wanted the name Jaden for my son and Kayla for my girl.
So I'm talking with her today and I asked if she picked any names yet, so she says her boyfriend wants Calel (his name is Jorelle which was Supermans fathers name, and supposively Calel is the Grandfathers name, she HATES the name though and we were laughing about it the other day togther) anyway...she says she wants Jaden. Now she knows I've wanted that name since way back when. So I say, well I rather our sons have matching names than my son have a friend named Calel, so she just laughed it off, but I can tell she's kind of doing it to be a little bitchy.. then she goes, if I have a girl I def. want Kayla or Kaylee...WDF?!?!
You know how when your growing up you always discuss your 'kids' names with your friends? Well these were ALWAYS mine and her's were usually Isiah and Christine..I don't get it??
I called FH and he was like 'she's just trying to be a b*tch again'
Sorry but I just had to vent..I don't know why she would want to annoy me with this..it would be diff if she had always liked those names..but its just weird ...

This just happened to 2 friends of mine that are sisters!!! The one that got pregnant second had always wanted the name Luke and her sister didnt have a favorite until she got pregnant first and wanted the name Luke. Well needless to say she didnt take her sister's boys name when she had her son but, the other sister got to use Luke when she had hers. Did that make sense She might be just playing with you and her hormones are out of wack but, that is RUDE!!!

I would say something to her... you can do it nicely and sincerely, but what she is doing is crappy... just something simple like, 'Hey, I was just wondering why you changed your favorite names to the ones I have always wanted...'

Its so hard, but thats why FH and I don't (try...) not to say the names we want. We also tried to pick names that sound good with our last name, so chances are either its a crazy coincidence or your friends kid's names won't sound that great.

if it were me, i'd just let it go. usually w/ women, if you don't react to baby nonsense like that, they lose interest. if she's any kind of a real friend, she's not going to steal your names bc hopefully she'll realize how childish it is. if she's getting close to delivering and she still wants to use them, then i'd be worried. for now, don't let her drag you into her hormone swing.

That sucs I can't believe she is picking the same names. If you even said anything you would be the bad guy. Try to give her other name ideas and maybe she will lay off yours if she likes them enough. Maybe she is testing you? It seems like a no win situation Sorry

Thats my exact thought process!! Thats why I didn't want to play into it! She is a great friend but she does things like this from time to time, its really strange...
Honestly, I'd name my kids that regardless, because its weird, but its just drilled into my head that those will be my babies names..
I hope she gets over this..
Luckily, I don't think her boyfriend likes the name Jaden, and she usually sways on his side..my fingers will be crossed!
I'm going to be sitting on edge for 9 months!! lolz

Exactly, I don't want to be the bad guy, and I feel like the more I say I want those names, the most she'll want them (she's like that!) so I don't know what to do..
I feel like saying I LOVEEEEEEE those names and I want them more than anything..its not like you really love them and can't picture anything else..so pick something diff..
But the more I love it, the more she'll love it..

i know how you feel and it *****...my aunt had a baby girl this past summer and I had always loved the name julianna and guess what...thats what she named the baby!!! I was a bit annoyed but fh was really good when i told him that I was upset...he was like when we have kids we'll pick out a name together that we love just as much...try to look on the bright side...maybe she will get over this

it sux but like most people said dont give her any reaction...i went through the same thing when i was pregnant so was my cousins wife and we had picked out the name matthew from the start...when i went to her shower i asked her what they picked and she said they had no clue and she asked me the same question and stupid me told her so guess what when her son was born they named him matthew i was so mad

I really don't understand people!! I would never do something like that. In fact, it's bothering me so much because I wanted to be 'original' and pick something that I PERSONALLY loved...
