Okay so our wedding is on a Thursday night leading up to holiday weekend at 8pm-1:30am. I love the time because I am not a morning person and I love to party so we figured a night wedding would be perfect for us. I told everyone the time before we booked to make sure that it would work and noone had a prob now that we are a few months away all of a sudden it's a prob. My mom and dad had the nerve to say that they have to leave by 10pm because I was stupid to have such a late wedding and my older fam are planning onnot coming because of the time. Are you kidding me. At this point I feel like just screaming.........

HA! If my mom said she was leaving at 10 I'd say, 'great.. one less plate for me to pay for.' (obv i won't mean it) If you say something stupid your gonna get a stupid response.

Just be firm, and say 'well I'm sorry you feel that you can't make an exception for your daughter's wedding'.

Honestly, don't even worry about it. There's no way they're going to leave before it's over!
I will say, possibly some of the older guests might cut out around midnight, but I can guarantee that it won't empty out!

I've had people say the same thing to me because I'm having a sunday wedding that ends at 1130pm. But here's how I see it - the people who love us and want to be there will be there no matter what and those people are the ones I want to celebrate with. If someone doesn't want to come because it's one late work-night out of their lives then it's prob someone I'm not that close with anyway!

Oh no!!! I'm sure they will stay the entire time. My mom told me she was only going to show up to the reception because the ceremony was too 'early' for her. (its at 11:30am). I just figured, if they want to be there they will be there. You cant please everyone.
