People People People- totally grossed out- food related

yesterday I watched foodtv, as I am known to do quite often. they talked about what America Eats!

pork rinds

ok, so 1, they are made out of pig skin...same as a football...2, they are boiled in lard...3, they need to be sorted lest a miscellaneous PIG BONE gets caught up with the little pieces of PIG SKIN...I have NEVER EVER EVER eaten a pork rind for FEAR that I would find out about this...and no you can bet your bottom dollar that I never will!

also, gelatin...I hate jello, and I am so glad I do. gelatin is one of the most disgusting substances on the planet. If you like jello, and no NOTHING about where gelatin comes from, REMAIN ignorant.

Sadly gelatin is also used in Altoids and marshmallows. Ignorance is bliss!

There are SO many other gross animal products (oh what 3 years as a vegan can teach ya) like rennet (intestinal lining used in cheeses - except kosher cheeses)

yup vegan here too! reading stuff like this makes me happy i am!

I'm glad my stomach is a machine, I'm strong enough to take it!!!!!

But I still don't eat pork rinds, even I have my standards!!
