Hello....I was just wondering...I am really interested in making money on ebay, just like I am sure everyone else here is. I am looking for ideas on products that really will make me a profit. Right now I have been selling books, cd's, movies, and diecast cars, but I really havent made such a great profit. I guess I am looking for that one product that I can sell like crazy and make some money off of. Does anyone have any good ideas?
I am interested in hearing from everyone that has an idea or any advice...

Ah that would be interesting....but I still have another month till my FIL turns on the water...I wonder how I would do that...on Ebay....

Scott, did you check out the monthly ' Hot List' Maybe that will help you since it shows what is selling better on e-bay.

I have sold a ton of used tools and car parts for my FH. He is rebuilding his mustang and asked me to put some of the old parts up on ebay and to my surprise they all sold. Just this week I sold a drill press for him, it is a few years old and was dirty and used even had a piece broken off of it but someone actually bought it.

REALLY? Thats interesting. WHere does he buy the tickets from?
He buys them from ticketmaster. he spends sooo much time doing it. He doesn't always get front row but he gets good tickets. You have to keep up with all of the hot concerts/shows and what time the tix go on sale. it is a lot of work but he rakes in the dough.

I think antique stuff does well. I wanted to get into the tickets thing. The U2 tix that were recently on sale would've been a nice profit
Scott, I'm in the same boat - until I find something else part-time, I've been using eBay as a way to earn a few extra dollars a month. I've been selling the same things you mentioned - books, CD, etc. and nothing really sells like crazy.
Have you tried selling collector's items? I used to work at a specialty store back in college and when the store closed, we were allowed to take what we wanted (don't ask, this place was so crooked!) so I took a lot of collectible watches and sold them on eBay. I made almost $400!!!! Of course, I had to use it to pay for my books that semester, but the point is I made a total profit Maybe you have old collectibles that you could sell too?

oh wait - I just remembered something else about selling on eBay that might help.
I heard this a while ago, but supposedly my friend's brother knows a guy who makes a living off his eBay sales! I'll try to explain this the way it was told to me - hopefully it makes sense! He said that the post office has thousands of unclaimed packages that they keep and if they've been there long enough - you can just buy them for a cetain price a box...... So what this guy does is buy all these packages - not knowing what's in them - and then sells everything on Ebay. It sounds kind of wierd, but he insisted that his friend makes a good living doing this.... I don't know - but it might be worth a shot?

WOW that is strange, and something I never heard of.....Wonder what wierd stuff he has found in these packages and what they could charge you for something like that.

from what I can remember, he said it was a flat fee for each box - but I'm sure that varies depending on the size/weight of the package. I've always been curious to try it, but honestly just don't have that kind of time!
