Great...now more people are going to go out and get turtles as pets without doing any research about them. Sorry, I work with turtles and it's sickening how many people call a week looking to get rid of their pet turtle b/c they didn't know how big it could grow or how long it would live. People need to do research before getting a pet.

very ture!!! people dont do research they just want a cool pet.. i have had a slider for about 10 -11 years now. i love him (even though he is nasty) my dad jokes that when i get married and move out - hes coming with me' haha - of course he is!

after watching that video and FH is a psychologist i told him he have put my turtle in his office for the kids to look at hehe

That turtle has a overgrown beak that needs a trim - but very cute florida box turtle or spotted (not as good as I used to be to spot out species anymore).

I have three three toed boxies and one easter all with NYS Permits to own. BUT this video is amazing - shows that turtles are smart and mine are partially trained to respond to food. They don't do stuff like that though.

THANKS for sharing.
