Now I know I am not completely nuts...........How many ladies know that it is considered obscene to wear perfume and people are able to smell it once they walk into a room. I have a co worker who wears really good stuff but it is a tad bit strong. Am I the only one who thinks this way?

Re: Perfume
don't think its obscene to wear perfume... just when its too much. (is that what you were saying.. or just perfume period) People don't understand that just because YOU don't smell the scent on yourself anymore, doesn't mean others can't. they gotta learn the spray, then walk into it technique!

Re: Perfume
I hate it when I go to a restaurant or bar and someone's wearing so much perfume that I can actually TASTE it!
Also, a lot of people are allergic to perfume, so it's important to be careful about wearing too much.

In college we were 'strongly discouraged' from wearing perfume for this reason...

Personally, I enjoy it when someone leaves a “cloud” of nice smelling perfume behind. But when it’s so strong that I start choking, I guess it’s too much.

That's interesting! I used to work as a temp at an architecture firm, and on my first day they told me not to wear perfume at all. That was the first time I realized that some folks might have an allergy problem...

Re: Perfume
I worked with this one woman who I swore marinated in Angel (which by itself is a nice scent... not my taste, but nice). I asked her if she could tone it down a bit because it was agrivating my asthma... her reply was it's really expensive so something else must be triggering your asthma. Real nice, right.
