I am growing my nails, and they are at a good length, except one that breaks and the rest are weak.
Can i get the permanent french with out adding tips?
What is then added to my nails, a silk wrap??
Is this expensive and how often do i have to go back to get them done.
Alos I heard that you can paint your nails over the permanent french and then remove it, and they will be okay underneath, is this true?

Re: Permanent French??
I have permanent french now. I love it. It cost me $40 to get it done. You can polish over it or not. The only problem is that once you start cutting them (because they are growing to long), you will start to lose the white little by little until there is no more. For me, it usually lasts about 3 months and I go every week for a fill-in which costs me $16.

Re: Permanent French??
Right now I polished over the permanent french but next week I am going to get them done again.
I love the permanent french. To get them on I pay about 40 dollars and to have them filled in every 2 weeks I pay 20 dollars
I go every 2 weeks to get a fill in.

Re: Permanent French??
when I had it I went every 2-3 weeks to have them redone. Where I went, the process was similar to an acrylic wrap. The only thing I didn't like about it was my nails were thick because of the stuff they put on, so I went back to silk wraps.

You can't get silk waraps and the permanent french or you are saying it adds another layer?
I am a retard when it come sto nails, I used to get acrylic a while back, and hated how it left my nails after taking them off.

Re: Permanent French??
silk wraps are one thing, permanent french is another. where I went, its called gel system or something and the gel acts as the wrap, but is thicker than a silk wrap. some people prefer that, personally, I don't.

Okay now I think I understand, can they add atip to the one nail that is shorter?

Re: Permanent French??
Honestly, I don't know about adding a tip. I'm sure its possible, but when one of my nails is shorter I cut them all down rather than adding. I figure they'll grow eventually.

Re: Permanent French??
From my understanding a permanent french is just two different colored acrylic that they put on your nails. They still have to be filled in every two weeks or so. IMO I hate my nails in acrylic because they get to thick looking.
I get silk wraps put on my nails. It makes them stronger and more uniformed. You can add a silk extention to the one that is shorter. You still have to get them filled in though every two weeks.
I get a french manicure on my silks every two weeks so I really don't see the benefit to the permanent ones....JMO though : )

Instead of a tip, you are probably better off with an extension of the one broken nail.

Re: Permanent French??
DOes the polish last for two weeks though, I got a regular manicure last week and hey lasted a week that was it, and once they chip in one place it bugs me and they have to come off.
Will the silk ruin my nails too?

Re: Permanent French??
My polish lasts 2 weeks but I am not hard on my nails. I hate chips too!!! I have a french manicure kit at home that I can do fix touch ups if needed though.
I think anything that goes on your nails isn't going to be good for them and will be very weak when you take the silks or acrylics off but at least they'll look good!!! lol.
