Okay, I've been wanting to ask this, but I've been too shy. But here goes:
My period is usally very regular, I get it every 21 days, no problem. Last month I got it as usual, and it hasn't stopped! It's lightened up, but then restarted 4 days ago. Argh!! This second time was accompanied by the usual raging PMS, but less cramping, and was lighter than usual. Over the past month, my diet has changed somewhat (for the better I think), I've been exercising alot more (cardio and weights), not to mention being stressed to the max about wedding stuff. The reasonable nurse in me says this is probably the cause, but I would feel better hearing from the LIW girls about this. Anyone have any input or similar experience?
I apologize if this was TMI for some, but I really need to know!
Thanks!
**notice I didn't call it AF?

I would say, it looks like it was brought on because of all the changes in your diet and exercise! BUT, if I were you, I would definately go to my GYNO, just to be sure! It's probably nothing, but it's always good to check it out! I thing one can never be too careful with all the complicated equipment 'downthere'!

I would go to the 'fun' doctor (that's what I call him!) just to be on the safe side, but I would think that the stress may be what is causing it.
But I would get it checked out just the same.

I know the weight change..loss or gain...can mess up your menstrual cycle. and of course stress screws it up like nothing else. we all hate to go to the gyno, but you are prob better off, its probably nothing, but you will feel better once you know.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate your advice. I'll give it another day or so, then I guess I'll have to make an appointment. Blech...

Re: personal 'girl' question ***TMI***
whenever i am abnormally stressed, like being sick or finals time...my period goes crazy. i either get it for a couple of weeks, or completely off guard or not at all. i had pneumonia in the fall and being sick and my medication caused it to disappear for 2 1/2 months...finals time usually brings it on for a couple of weeks. it is normal for stress to mess it up! just make sure you keep some extra pads and tampons with you JUST IN CASE!!!

Diet change + stress + hormones = 'F'ed up period.
I am not a doctor and don't play one on TV, but as long as you are sure that you cannot be pregnant and are not experiencing severe pain (especially on one side more than another), I think you are fine. Otherwise call your doc.
