For those of you who have taken provera to bring on AF, did it only regulate you for that first month or did it keep you on track for a couple of months after that? My doctor told me to start provera this weekend to bring on AF, and after that wants me to start the bc pill. But now I cant start bc until after my breast sonogram (they found a lump) just in case something is wrong...but my friend told me that I should start the pill the first day of my af after taking the provera...but I cant do that right now..the sonogram isnt until January 28th!
So I guess my question is...will taking the provera this month regulate me for next month so I can start the pill when I get AF the next time around or is the provera only going to be effective for this month??
Sorry its long..im so confused!

Re: Personal question..maybe tmi..
The first time I took Provera, it brought on AF, but only that one time. I had to go back to the doc several months later and get another Rx for it. I got PG the next month, so I presume it was returning my body to normal. But to answer your question, there is no guarantee that your AF will resume normally after you take your Provera and get your AF.
Also, some BC pills you start on the Sunday after your period as opposed to the first day of your period, so just be sure you start on the right day whenever that may be.

Noreen - I know nothing about Provera but wanted to say how happy I am for you that you are taking the doctor's advice and taking care of yourself so we can see you aboard soon!
