I dont know if its worth it to be honest with you. I am a member of NYSC and I work out 3 times a week. I see all these other girls who work out with the trainer and all they do is stand around and waste time. I do all my weight training in about 20-25 minutes and it takes them almost 45 minutes. I dont know if time is a concern for you, but it is for me, so therefore, I just prefer to work out by myself and give 110% effort...and not spending a ton of $$...

I love my trainer. she's the best. It's at equinox in syosset, so you need to join the gym before you can train with her. Her name is kim. it's about 1800 for 6 months if you go once a week. the packages are different depending on the amount of times/ length of package.

I am a member of Crunch. I actually have an appt. with a personal trainer tomorrow after work. I will definitely be using one regulary as the wedding gets closer.

If you are not a member of a gym, join one first. a lot of gyms have sculpting and other classes that you do strength and weight training in. it's not the one on one you get with a trainer, but you are still being pushed and using different weights and muscles.

my body hurts, but it's changing, and I think it's worth it!

Good Luck!!!

I have had a lot of trainers and belonged to alot of gyms.....

Becare at Crunch- I used a trianer from there ( 31st and 2nd) and I noticed it's not 'personal' it'a a routine that they give everyone- make sure you stress whay you want to work on or pick a trainer you know- I got bigger! I was really upset

I am going to try the buff brides thing at NYSC- it's 24 sessions for $1425 and you can do it even if you are not a memeber-

The best trainer I ever had was a meat head from Powerhouse gym- I never looked so good- I wish I could go back there

I have a trainer - I belong to NYSC...and athough it was expensive it IS worth every penny. I was working out but not seeing any results (I hit a slump)...now I still work out the same number of days a week (5 days) but my routine is very much altered than what I was use to...I have toned up and have lost inches...I plan on renewing once this package is through...it really depends on how you work out and how your body either loses weight or tones...some people (like me) need a trainer to keep from falling into a familiar routine...

you can do the buff brides package even if it's not 3 months before your wedding- so much cheaper then regular- you just can't cancel- which is exactly what I need now!

Re: Personal trainer?

I had a trainer at Bally Total Fitness. I had to uy in packages but it came out to about $40 and change per session. It was worth every. I was in the process of losing a massive amount of weight and didn't want hanging skin and weak muscles. I have never been stronger in my life and I finally have a shape other than an apple.

Re: Personal trainer?

Honestly, I think the best thing is to join a gym that has classes and take the weight training classes 3 That is what I have done in the past and is what I'm doing now, and I think it saves a lot of money and still gives you results.
