Personal, vent, NWR... LONG

Personal, vent, NWR... LONG

Hopefully you guys let me vent and I don't get backlash anywhere.. please.. no backlash... I have no place to vet...

So 3 months to the wedding.. should be happy as can be. Trying to ignore all this and BE happy as can be.. but My fiance's son has been having major probs .. mostly with his ex gf and has been a total living nightmare to us all. Causing bad fights, making us worry for him every night, complete disrespect and finally I broke down and cried from his just MEANNESS one day. He is 19 (that age STILL I guess..).

Meanwhile, my fiance just went in 11 days ago for weight loss surgery. 2 day stay in the hospital, lots of pain.. still some pain. It was gut wrenching for me to see my ROCK, my MAN screaming in pain after surgery... more tears... on and off for days.. I cried. He won't be on solid food now for another 2 weeks. Can't drink. We knew this all but NOW he is concerned about eating/drinking at the wedding. Meanwhile, Since all went well, I am so happy that he is on the healthy path now and very excited for where this will take him and us! However, surgery and recovery is stressful and I have been stressed.

On top of this, we find out his estranged daughter checked herself into a rehab states away and he was beyond devastated. Got the news 2 days before surgery which I think added to the pain since his heart was hurting and his stress level was through the roof. Wasn't able to talk to her or see her until today. meanwhile, no one knew she had a problem. She is a BEAUTIFUL, young girl who seemed to have a great head on her shoulders and this was just SUCH a crush to all of us.

So all of this and I am now 31 years old moving out of mommy and daddy's for the first time ever. Packing as we speak. Needless to say, I don't know how I haven't been committed with all of this and the small things that have come up.

So here I am.. still need to get hair/make-up and flowers done. FH can't drive for 6 weeks. I don't know how to drive. Wedding vendors are 50 miles away and I don't know if I should stress it or ignore it all. Wine has become my friend.

Please don't anyone see this as my complaining or anything negative. I just REALLY needed to vent. :(((((((

Now I'm totally unsure if I should've vented... been getting backlash for stupid crap I have put out there from friends... now I fear replies from people on anything and everything..

Whatever, if you need to vent, then vent. Sometimes you need someone to talk to who isn't one of your friends and who isn't going to be rude or judgmental. Everyday isn't going to be about your wedding. Life is still going to go on around you, which means you'll have the good and the bad happening. But, everything happens for a reason and there's a bright side to everything. Keep your head up, honey, and everything will work out just fine.

Kids are not easy. The most important thing to remember is that no matter how much advice you offer and help you offer and guidance you offer, they will still need to make their own mistakes before they are able to see the value in what you've told them. Just keep doing what you guys are doing and the children will work themselves out.

Glad that your fiance is becoming healthy. It sounds like he is well on his way to recovery, and that is what you'll need to focus on. Be HIS rock and support until he is well enough to be yours again. Throw yourself into helping him heal, and he'll be on his feet in no time.

As for dealing with your vendors, just call them. Everyone seems to be extremely accommodating with that, and I'm sure if you need to you can set up skype sessions or just trade emails with pictures. See what's easy for you and your vendors, and make it work. :)

I am so sorry that you're going through all of this. It's hard to see the good in hard times but you have a lot to look forward to.

Wow sorry to hear you're going through some really stressful stuff. I don't think you're complaining you're going through some stressful situations and if you don't vent you might just fall apart. Just take a deep breath and try to take it one day at a time.

You have every right to vent and express how you are feeling. Planning a wedding at times can be stressful and personal and outside stressors unfortunately do no make it much easier. However lets look at the bigger picture. Your FH is on his way to a much healthier life and has you standing by his side. It can only get better. In regards to the vendors, I am sure this is something that can be handled via a phone. As far as your friends that are voicing their opinion on your situation, surround yourself with those that lift you up than bring you down. What does not break you makes you stronger. As far as his children go, you can only provide and give as much as support as you can. Please just take it one day at a time and know that you have your LI wedding gals here for your support. Big hug! Sssqqqquuuueeeezzzzzzeeeeee!

I an giving you big hugs. Wedding planning is hard enough and to deal with all of this I can't even imagine. It may be a bit different but I understand. My FH is becoming a step dad to my kids. My FH is younger then me and has none. That being said I have one teen and one younger one with special needs. I am sure that my FH shakes his head sometimes. My daughter was a difficult one in the beginning. It sounds like the son if u got it right is bring so disrespectful and I hope someone is putting there foot down. All you can do is support your FH and be there for him. I know taking on kids is such a hard job and I give all the credit in the world such as to you and my FH. It shows the kind of people you are. Soon after the wedding that will be one less thing on your plate but please I know easier said then done but just enjoy yoyr day. Be prepared he may not hold his food down at times. Explain to the maître de. He's going for a healthier lifestyle and that's awesome.
Xoxo
